Are you new?
More Bachelorette BS

Stupid Jillian
Ugh, I am so mad at the Bachelorette.
Yes, I'm spoiling.
My beloved Reid was sent home. Instead, she kept a boy who wears booty shorts and who can't get it up.
I can understand why Ed's dad was crying during the episode. I'd cry too if my son wore shorts that short.
Gross.
Gag me.
Sorry, Reid.

Oops, have I been MIA or what?
As a result, you're going to get a quick update from me tonight!

I spent a fabulous Friday off from work (we were furloughed). I made the best of a no work for no pay day at the pool and lounging on the couch. After the fiance made it home from work with pay, we met up with one of my closest friends for our usual wings/beer ritual. I am head over heels in love with Fridays.
53/365
The fiance and I spent our Saturday out on the town. We started off the day with lunch at our local hibachi joint and then hit up the grocery store, walmart, target, and Michaels. We came home to clean like crazy while blasting 80's music and cooking for Sunday.
54/365
We had a fabulous BBQ and hosted my mom, dad, sister, aunt, and cousins at our new place. I cooked WAY too much (I cook in two ways-- too much and way too much). We're going to be eating potato salad and pasta salad for days. I had so much fun with them and love visiting with my family.
If you've made it this far and you're into wedding stuff, please check out the post I made on DC Nearlyweds. I need some help with this newest dilemma. =]

The Tasting
Our tasting went SUPER well (and it fell on our 100 day mark).
The day started with a bit of a hiccup, a.k.a. I was lost in Dupont circle, crying my eyes out while driving-- and my half hour drive turned into a 1.5 hour drive. I was so late and so embarrassed, but they were beyond accommodating and assured me that I wasn't a complete jerk for showing up a little late.
As soon as we sat down in the room they poured me a glass of wine and we got down to business. We picked out linens and we ate a ridiculous amount of food (scallops, salads, sirloin, crab cakes, veggies to name a few). The food was incredible and I had a fabulous time tasting my options.
Seriously, I'm dreaming about their sirloins as we speak.
After the tasting, we toured the grounds one more time and may or may not have changed ballrooms (hey, now that we've got our color schemes down it's easier to make a decision).
John's catholic, so we can't get married outside, but we're going to take some of our pictures right there. It's a beautiful setting and it's only going to look better in October when the leaves are changing.
I love it, I love it, I love it!

Fantastic Tasting

This is going to be quick, because I'm tired, but we've officially hit the 100 days mark!
HOOOOOOOORAY!
In other news, we had our tasting today and the food was phenomenal. Expect a full report soon!

50/365
Today was my last day of work for the week!
I'm off tomorrow for my wedding tasting (YAY) and we're furloughed on Friday.
We've officially hit 101 days. In fact, we're 31 minutes away from 100 days.
I can't wait to tell you all about our tasting tomorrow.
10 Closets!!
Because it seems to blow some people away, I'll elaborate.
It's true, we have ten closets.. and it was one of the perks that helped us decide on this townhouse.
We have a GIANT walk in closet in our bedroom. Giant by town house means, not by an I live in a 4000 square foot house with a master suite means. Although I don't have exact measurements, I'd guess that it's about 7 ft x 4 ft. The pathetic part-- my clothes barely fit in there. We may actually turn this closet into a second bathroom in the future.
We also have a second closet in our bedroom, which I allow the fiance to use. =] It looks like a normal closet on the outside, but it's actually quite deep! BONUS.
In the spare bedroom we have another two closets, and a large linen closet in the hallway rounds out the upstairs.
On the main floor we're lucky enough to have a coat closet in the hallway and a pantry closet!
In the basement, we have three more utility closets.
The ridiculous part-- we're almost at capacity. I need to sift through my stuff. Pronto.

Me, Me, Me
1. What kind of SOAP is in your bathtub right now?

2. Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator?
Oh man, my favorite. Unfortunately, No.
3. What would you change about your living room?

Are you wed?
How important is a DO NOT play and a PLEASE PLAY list for your DJ?
I don't want to make more work for myself if it's unnecessary, but did you find it to be a good use of time?
Grace in Small Things 49/365
1. I gave a presentation on Toxic Anger at work today. In fact, I presented twice at a workshop for all of the guidance counselors and school psychologists in the county. Not only did the presentation go super well, my boss observed me so I got that over and done with until next year. Phew & success. Go me.
2. Although I couldn't handle 45 mins today, my gym buddy Alli and I managed to put in 35 minutes of hard core working out today.
3. My dinner-- Crab legs, Romaine, red onion and feta, and seasoned french fries. Phenomenal.
I hope your day was as good as mine!
xoxo
Monogram Swap!
A few weeks ago, Life with LuLu and Pete hosted a super fun monogram swap.
Although I have always loved monogrammed items, the fact that I'm soon to be wed, further motivated me to join this swap (hello, new name).
LuLu paired me up with Janine from Pretty Personal Gifts
I was super excited to receive my package and inside she included two super cute gifts.
The hand towel could not be anymore perfect. Janine must have done her research because the towel matches our new kitchen/dining room remodel perfectly. Even more exciting, the crab-- it's the perfect touch. The only problem with the gift is that I have to wait until after the wedding to use it (C will be my new initial).
She also included a cute little bikini bag to take on my honeymoon! How thoughtful is she?
Thanks again for all of the gifts, Janine and thanks to LuLu for hosting this swap.

Monday, Monday
Oh Wes, you are a real wiener.
I must admit that I'm totally rooting for Reid now. The fiance came upstairs and caught me smiling like a school girl at him (through the TV of course). I believe his correct words were, "what in the world are you smiling about?"
Reid, duh. Second only to my fiance himself.
I think it helps that Reid is neurotic. He reminds me a bit of myself.
48.
I haven't worked a Monday in weeks and it is F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S
Relaxing day with lotsa reading, lotsa sun and 45 minutes on the elliptical (I'm hardcore).
